On this page, you can download the drivers for Sony Vaio UX computers running Windows XP.
Windows XP is a commonly used operating system on the VAIO UX computers. It was pre-installed on the earlier models, and most newer models can be downgraded, often resulting in better performance than on Vista.
For Windows XP, Sony released a lot of individual driver files back in the day, each requiring manual installation. The official drivers are no longer available on the Sony website, but have been archived since.
Also, there were unofficial driver packs, which were created by the former community of micropctalk.com (a site which is no longer online, but user Sull86 created the driver packs). Version 2.3 is the most recent one, and is offered here.
This driver pack contains a combination of all drivers needed to get your UX system up and running and has ordered folders for easier installation. These driver pack has been brought back online for download using a copy from the Internet Archive.
Compatibility
The XP driver pack is compatible with all VAIO UX models, even those which shipped with Vista. This is thanks to a clever trick applied called the “model.txt patch”, which removes the check added by Sony to verify if your model was actually shipped with XP
